peppers frozen from last season / my garden
1 large onion
4 green peppers, cut in chunks
1 bag soy crumbles
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cans diced tomatoes, garlic and basil variety
1 (8oz.) can tomato sauce
3 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 cup veggie stock
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 - 1/2 tsp. coarse black pepper
1/2 tsp. onion powder
Saute onion in oil till soft. Add green peppers and garlic. Saute 3 - 5 minutes.
Add soy crumbles, turn up heat and cook till the crumbles start to brown.
Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Turn heat down. Simmer with the lid on for 45 - 60 minutes.
